Here we will start to look at correct ways in which to address People
The equivalent to Mr., Mrs. and Miss are Bey and Hanım.
Unlike English where we use Mr, Mrs and Miss in front of a surname, in Turkish you use Bey and Hanım after a first name.

You may also use them after someone’s Job title which would be a polite way of attracting someone’s attention

(a new word you may wish to add to your list of basic words is memur meaning public official, including passport controllers and policeman, you may address them as memur bey.
If you are providing anyone with a service, you may address them as
beyefendi Sir
hanımefendi Madam
or
efendim either Sir, Madam or both
